Meritus Gas Partners Expands in North Texas with Greens Welding Supply Acquisition

Meritus Gas Partners has acquired the assets of Greens Welding Supply, expanding its footprint in the Dallas–Fort Worth market, the company said Monday.

The deal closed Feb. 28. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Greens Welding Supply, founded in 2000 by Aaron Green, distributes industrial gases, welding equipment, and safety supplies to customers across the southwest portion of the DFW Metroplex. The company is based in Granbury, Texas.

The acquisition gives Meritus Texas its ninth location in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and strengthens its reach in North Texas, according to Rodney Wray, president of Meritus Texas.

“We are pleased to welcome the employees and customers of Greens Welding Supply,” Wray said in a statement, adding that the transaction supports the company’s growth strategy in the region.

Meritus Texas is one of the company’s platform operations and represents a combination of five independent distributorships centered in the Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston markets. The business operates 17 branches across Texas.

Green said the decision to sell was based on finding a partner that would maintain the company’s culture and support its long-term development.

Meritus Gas Partners was founded in 2020 and is backed by AEA Investors. The company is building a national network of independent distributors of industrial, medical and specialty gases, along with welding and safety supplies.
