QXO Joins Polymeric Exterior Products Association as First Distributor Member

QXO has joined the Polymeric Exterior Products Association, becoming the first distributor to join the trade organization that represents manufacturers of polymer-based exterior building products.

The association also announced that it created a new distributor membership category and admitted QXO as its first participant.

PEPA represents companies that manufacture polymeric exterior building materials used in residential and commercial construction, including siding, decking, roofing systems, and windows. The association also administers the industry’s Vinyl Siding Institute certification program, which establishes product performance and installation standards for vinyl siding.

“Distributors play a critical role in connecting manufacturers with contractors and builders across the country,” said Kate Offringa, president and CEO of the association, in announcing the new membership category.

The move reflects an effort by PEPA to broaden participation across the exterior building products supply chain by including distributors alongside manufacturers in discussions related to product standards, workforce development and recycling initiatives tied to polymer-based materials.

The association expanded its scope in 2024 when the Vinyl Siding Institute rebranded as the Polymeric Exterior Products Association to reflect a wider range of polymeric materials used in exterior construction.

PEPA’s membership includes manufacturers such as CertainTeed and Westlake Royal Building Products, along with producers of polymeric roofing and exterior systems including Brava Roof Tile, DaVinci Roofscapes and EcoStar.

QXO, led by CEO Brad Jacobs, has been expanding its presence in building materials distribution following its acquisition of Beacon Roofing Supply. The company said participation in the association aligns with its involvement in exterior building product categories.
